Ethar Relief Founder Visits Oman to Forge New Partnerships

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MUSCAT, OMAN. In a promising step toward expanding humanitarian efforts, Ethar Relief’s founder, Dr Sultan Omar and Ethar's International Finance Specialist Mr Ali Ismail, completed a successful visit to Oman in September 2025. Accompanied by Dr Waleed Altarrad from Kuwait, Dr Omar met with a number of governmental and non-governmental organisations as well as key charitable figures.

The visit was designed to build potential relationships and foster collaboration with a range of Omani entities. These new partnerships are expected to significantly enhance Ethar’s capacity to deliver aid and support to vulnerable communities in the Horn of Africa and Yemen, regions where the organisation has a long-standing presence.

During the visit, Dr Omar and Dr Altarrad engaged in constructive discussions with respected and honourable representatives from several prominent organisations, including:

  • Al Madina Takaful Insurance Company

  • Bawshar Endowment

  • Dar Al-Ataa Charity

  • Al-Istiqama TV

  • Imam Jaber Bin Zayed Endowment

  • The National Museum of Oman

  • Oman Charitable Organisation

“We are deeply grateful for the warm reception we received in Oman and the productive meetings with such a diverse and influential group of well-wishers and potential partners,” said Sultan Omar. “The generosity and commitment to humanitarian causes we witnessed here are truly inspiring. These initial discussions will pave the way for a powerful new chapter in our work, strengthening our ability to deliver critical aid where it is most needed.”

The visit highlights Ethar Relief's commitment to creating a global network of support to address the critical needs of communities affected by conflict and natural disasters. The organisation is optimistic that these initial discussions will lead to formal agreements and joint initiatives in the near future.
