During his ongoing field visit to the Republic of Djibouti, the Founder and President of Ethar Relief, Sultan Omar, held a formal meeting with the Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Official Spokesperson of the State, His Excellency Abdulkadir Hussein Omar.
The meeting, which took place as part of Sultan Omar's oversight trip to refugee programmes and humanitarian initiatives on the ground, marked a significant moment for Ethar Relief’s continued collaboration and partnership in the region.
The purpose of the Founder's visit was to oversee the launch of several critical projects serving refugees and host communities in Djibouti, distribute aid, and to lay the foundation stones for upcoming initiatives that aim to provide long-term support and stability to vulnerable populations.
During the meeting, Sultan Omar took the opportunity to brief the Honourable Minister on Ethar Relief’s two-decade legacy of humanitarian service across the Horn of Africa. His Excellency listened attentively to the presentation and expressed deep appreciation for the work of the charity.
In a strong and encouraging statement, the Minister said, "I am ready to join you in serving humanitarian work with everything I can." He warmly welcomed the delegation and extended his full support for Ethar's mission.
"We are deeply grateful to His Excellency the Honourable Minister Abdulkadir Hussein Omar for his warm reception and kind words," said Sultan Omar. "His encouragement and openness to collaboration reaffirm the shared values that underpin our humanitarian work. At Ethar Relief, we look forward to building a strong and impactful partnership with the Ministry, and we wish the Minister continued success in his important role, for the sake of all the people we serve."

Those in attendance at the meeting included Dr Waleed Al Tarrad, advisor to Ethar Relief, as well as representatives from Sanabel Al-Khair, and the President of the Idris Lahda Foundation, key committed partners in Ethar's humanitarian work in the region.
The meeting highlights a significant step forward in Ethar Relief’s growing presence in Djibouti and reflects the charity’s ongoing commitment to meaningful, high-level engagement that benefits refugees and host communities alike.
